FTM-510DE

C4FM Digital/FM 55/50W 144/430MHz Dual Band Mobile Transceiver The New Flagship Mobile with Super-DX

We are pleased to introduce the new C4FM Digital/ FM 55W (VHF)/ 50W (UHF) Dual-Band Mobile Transceiver FTM- 510DE. The FTM-510DE shares the core feature set as the current FTM-500DE yet equipped with the new Super-DX.

  • Super-DX: When the received signal is weak, the sensitivity of the RF amplifier can be increased by activating the Super-DX function in both C4FM digital / FM analog modes.

  • (Optional): ASP (Audio Digital Signal Processor): When operating in FM analog mode, the ASP can also be activated in addition to the Super-DX. By digitally processing the received FM audio to remove noise, the ASP ensures reliable and comfortable audio quality for weak signals. This helps to expand the communication range. ASP AUTO mode is also selectable. In this mode, the ASP is automatically activated when the transceiver detects weak signals in FM analog mode.

For intuitive and effortless operation, the PMG and MAG functions of the FTM-510DE have been improved.

- PMG (Primary Memory Group): Up to 5 VFO or Memory Channel frequencies can be assigned to the PMG (Primary Memory Group) and monitored. The reception status of the PMG channels is displayed with an orange/ gray-colored bar graph in the PMG screen. When a signal disappears, the bar graph color changes from orange to gray in real time. With the FTM-510DE, the gray bar graphs (historical received signals) automatically fade out 2 seconds after a signal is lost. With the FTM-500DE, the gray bar graphs remain until they are manually reset by pressing the DIAL knob.

Other practical differences of the PMG function between the FTM-510DE and the FTM-500DE are:

(Updated PMG in the FTM-510DE)

AUTO Mode

The PMG channels are scanned and up to two channels with signals are simultaneously received and heard. Transmission is automatically performed on the received channel.

MANUAL Mode

The PMG channel manually selected to transmit is always scanned and received. Other PMG channels are also scanned and a channel with signal can be received and heard at the same time. The transmit channel is selectable by rotating the DIAL knob or touching the bar graph of the desirable channel in the PMG screen.

(Current PMG in the FTM-500DE)

AUTO Mode

The PMG channel manually selected to transmit is always scanned and received. Other PMG channels are also scanned and a channel with a signal can be received and heard at the same time. The transmit channel is selectable by rotating the DIAL knob in the PMG screen.

MANUAL Mode

The PMG channel manually selected to transmit is always scanned and received. Other PMG channels are also scanned and shown in bar graph on display, but audio is not heard. The transmit channel is selectable by rotating the DIAL knob in the PMG screen.

- MAG (Memory Auto Grouping): In addition to Memory channels which can be recalled by each band, the FTM-510DE has the new “My Group(M-GRP)” feature which permits selection of any memory channel regardless of band.

For the current FTM-500DE users, the updated PMG function and “My Group” in MAG feature will be available by updating the firmware if it is preferable. The applicable firmware will be released by the end of February 2025.

FTM-150E

55/50W 144/430MHz FM Dual Band Mobile Transceiver
with the New Evolving Super-DX

The FTM-150E provides true dual band operation with two different receivers on different bands or within the same band (V+V, U+U, V+U, U+V). Full Dot-Matrix display is graphically visible and provides a clear and crispview of the radio operating status. Front panel is detachable, and by attaching the optional swing-head - SJMK-500, flexible angle adjustment is possible to accommodate easy mobile operation.

The power output is 55W on VHF and 50W on UHF (55W / 50W, 25W, 5W is selectable). Heavy Duty Heat Sink with FACC (Funnel Air Convection Conductor) ensures stable and reliable transmit power.

A front speaker is furnished inside the control-head. The front speaker, in combination with the main body speaker, provides a total of 6W high quality audio (3W: Front Speaker / 3W: Main Body Speaker). Volume level of the main body speaker is adjustable (0 – 100%) relative to the front panel speaker for users’ preference.

The Super-DX function increases the receiver sensitivity and improves weak signal reception. The new ASP (optional): Audio Digital Signal Processing Unit is also activated when the Super-DX key is pressed. The Super-DX with the ASP ensures reliable audio quality for weak signals and expands the communication range.

Some remarkable and convenient features of the FTM-150E are:

  • PMG (Primary Memory Group). Up to 5 VFO or Memory Channel frequencies may be assigned to the PMG (Primary Memory Group). The reception status of the PMG channels is displayed in real time with a bar graph in the PMG screen. The AUTO or MANUAL mode is switchable by pressing and holding the Main VFO knob during PMG operation. The AUTO mode simultaneously shows up to two channels when signals are received. Transmit is automatically moved to the received channel. In the MANUAL mode, transmit and receive stay on the manually selected channel. The signal received on the other channel is shown on the screen and the audio can be heard.
  • CFL (Customized Function List). Up to 9 frequently used functions from the 62 Menus can be registered and then easily selected.
  • MAG (Memory Auto Grouping). Memory channels can be automatically grouped and recalled for each band. The new “My Group” feature in MAG permits selection of any memory channel regardless of band.
  • VFO Band Skip function. Bands that are not normally used can be set to hide.
  • High-resolution Band Scope. Up to 47 channels can be displayed with the Scope operation. By rotating the left DIAL knob, the frequency range can be centered and the signal at the center marker is received. By rotating the right DIAL knob, the marker can be moved across the display and the signal at the marker is received.

By installing the optional Bluetooth® unit – BU-5, hands-free operation is available with the optional Bluetooth® headset SSM-BT20 or a commercially available Bluetooth® product.

Some other features of the FTM-150E are: Large-capacity of 1103 memory channels, Memory Data VFO Transfer, Split Memory, Microphone connections to either the control-head or the front of the main body, Sub Band mute function, Keypad entry of operating frequencies from the supplied DTMF microphone, MicroSD memory card slot, Automatic Repeater Shift function, Time-Out Timer (TOT), and Automatic Power-Off (APO).
